Our History
The Empowerment Foundation started as an effort to help young adults with diabetes. For 10 years we delivered the Students With Diabetes program and a variety of psychology education initiatives for families living with diabetes and experiencing diabetes distress. In 2021, our work expanded due to Ava Grace's influence and today it includes leadership development, youth skill building, and diabetes awareness.
