The Empowerment Foundation started as an effort to help young adults with diabetes. For 10 years we delivered the Students With Diabetes program and a variety of psychology education initiatives for families living with diabetes and experiencing diabetes distress. Today, our work has expanded to include leadership development and youth service-oriented skill building.
We help young people understand leadership and create their own leadership personas through exposure to leadership models and examples. Join the conversation as we seek to help youth feel confident and empowered.
Our approach is rooted in mentorship principles with a spin for a modern generation. We showcase leaders in order to inspire and generate creativity. Our efforts are concentrated in leadership development and diabetes awareness.
If you are inspired and feel an urge to do something meaningful for others, that is success to us! Our ultimate goal is to train up a generation of servant leaders who have a victor mentality. One of the ways we celebrate leadership is through our scholarship awards.
